Board Update
Grand Trunk Reopened: Grand Trunk has reopened after renovations. Area 1 Council wants to remind everyone that Friday Night and Sunday Afternoons are Free Community Swim times. Just present your community league membership for free entry.
Winter Market: Thank you to everyone that participated in the Winter Market on Nov 18th. It was a great time and we are happy that we have a community that has embraced these events. We now have a well built up subcommittee of experienced community members that will continue running markets for the foreseeable future. Stay tuned for news and dates for the upcoming Spring Market.
Yoga: A Yoga instructor has started running lessons from our building Thursday Evenings. For more information, please email yegsakalya@gmail.com.
Newsletter Delivery: Our faithful playground fundraising committee has been delivering our newsletters to raise funds for the new playground, however this is the last year that they will be able to do them. If you or anyone else in the neighbourhood would like to support the league and help deliver newsletters (and get paid for it), please give us a shout and email newsletter@kensingtoncl.ca.
AGM 2024
Save the Date April 9th.
We will be catering a meal (TBD) and having special presentations before the official AGM. We will have presentations from Local non for profits serving the community and some of our elected representatives.
WE WANT YOU to get involved with the League. With the new By-Laws, you can join the Board as a Director at Large to get to know the organization and help out without any specifically defined roles. Please consider coming to the AGM for a free meal, updates on community changes and resources, and to nominate yourself to stand on our board as a director.
