Board Update
New Bylaws: We have received confirmation of our new bylaws! This means a few things. The biggest thing is that we can now appoint board members as “members at large” with no direct responsibilities. If anyone is interested in joining the board as a member at large simply to understand the organization and learn how you may be able to participate in small ways, please fill out the contact form. You can also contact us if you are a member and would like to see the updated copy or to speak to someone about the new bylaws.
Grand Trunk Renovations: Just a reminder that while Grand Trunk is under renovations, O’Leary will honour Area 1 memberships to join in during their community swim times.
Winter Market: Final prep is under way for the Winter Market this Saturday Nov 18th from 10am to 5pm. There will be some great vendors and Veg Head Killer Food will be running concession at the hall. There will also be door prizes and ticket sales for some great prizes. All vendor table fees and ticket sales go towards Playground Fundraising so be sure to come out and support!
New Yoga Instructor: We are working out the details with a new Yoga instructor to operate at our hall. Stay tuned for more info.
Memberships: Our Membership director is on Holidays and so the purchasing and distribution of memberships may be delayed. Please be patient with our volunteers.
AGM 2024
Save the Date! We have tentatively selected Tuesday April 9th 2024 for our AGM. We plan to go all out this year with dinner and some community presentations. There will also be a few big announcements and discussions at this years AGM, so please seriously consider attending this AGM if you want a say in the future of the community league.
Missed Opportunities
There will be no Christmas Cookie Exchange hosted by the Community League this December. We encourage a community member to organize it if they still want to do a cookie exchange.
