Its been awhile
My apologies for not posted a board update in awhile. Thank you all for your patience and contributions to the community.
Community League Day was a Huge Success!
Thank you all for joining us at Community League Day. We continue to see more numbers come every year and it is super encouraging to see everyone come out, bid on auction items, eat popcorn, and bounce on the bouncy castle, among many other things. During the first fire performance, I counted about 180 people! A big thank you to all the event planners and vendors for the event. around $1,700 was raised for the playground at the silent auction.
Stay tuned on the Kensington Connect Facebook page for the most up to date information on events. As the website (*cough* myself) does not get updated as often as it should. We have lots of exciting events coming up this fall before the new year.
Batting Cage Inquiries
We wanted to acknowledge everyone that reached out to us over the use of the batting cage this summer. After discussing it a few times, we have decided to not provide a public method for renting or using the batting cage at this time. This is due to limited time and resources on the board to figure out schedule, rental fees, support for moving the automated batter, insurance, and waivers that would all be needed to build a system.
If you would like to rent the batting cage, please fill out the standard rental enquiry form and speak with our rental coordinator. Or, if you would like to take on the volunteer role of batting cage rental manager, please reach out to someone on the board or join us at our AGM in April.
Indoor Soccer
Thank you to all who registered for indoor soccer this season. Sadly we did not get enough registrations to field out own team, but the children registered will continue to play for other leagues. We are excited to continue pushing and have a great outdoor season next spring!
